We are here for you and your new family, to help you transition to parenthood in an enjoyable setting that is ideal for your baby's care and development.
To reduce unnecessary or duplicate items, we are available to review your baby's registry with you in advance. Weeks before the due date, we will wash clothing, arrange items, and set up the basic furnishings of the nursery. We'll take a thorough inventory so recommendations for additional supplies can be made.
Upon your first day returning home from the hospital, we will be there to greet you and your newborn baby. You can sit back, relax and enjoy your baby without fears or anxieties. You will have the opportunity to sleep during the night for as many nights as needed for a full recovery.
Not only will we take care of the basic needs of you and your newborn, but we will closely focus on your newborn's developmental sequences and spot any potential difficulties. These first few days is when sleep and feed ratio defines a baby's ability to thrive. Our experience with newborns who were not able to thrive will serve as a guide to make quick adjustments as necessary.
Moms can reserve their time and energy to recuperate while their baby's needs are being met. With vaginal delivery a 6 weeks recovery time is recommended. C-section deliveries generally require 6 to 8 weeks of recuperation time.
A routine for bottle-fed or nursing babies can be discussed and determined at any-time after your arrival home.
Close family will receive brief instructions on their role in helping with the newest family member. This can be for dads, siblings, grandparents, or even pets. We are happy to communicate with those who you decide to grant this honor.
Since a newborn cannot be trained to sleep until after 3-4 months old, we will work towards creating a nighttime routine. We will establish your dinnertime alongside the baby's bath, feed, and sleep routine. This will make it easy to fall into a routine for years to come. Very rarely will you need to hire anyone else again after our sleep training. We will leave you and baby well prepared.
Theresa has a master's in medical science and can serve as a liaison between you and the pediatrician. If we have some concerns or questions regarding your newborn's general health, Theresa will be the liaison between you and the pediatrician AND accompany you to any appointments that you request her to attend.
There is an additional service that Theresa will provide that is very important for AFTER we have finished our time with you. Theresa will assist you in the search and hiring of a nanny that can not only nurture your newborn and your other children but will also follow our recommendations for the baby's continued developmental health. Theresa will also provide techniques and resources used to stimulate your newborn's cognitive, physical, and social development for his first 3 years of life.
